Consent Mode v2
Google's framework for adjusting tag behaviour based on a user's consent state, required for advertising features in the EEA. Where consent is absent it sends cookieless pings and models the missing conversions.
Why it matters
A share of your reported EEA conversions is modelled rather than observed. Reading modelled conversions as measured ones overstates certainty in exactly the market where it is weakest.
In practice
Know what proportion of your conversions are modelled. If your consent rate is low, your reported performance is largely an estimate.
