Agent Commerce
llms.txt
A markdown file at the site root offering a curated, machine-readable map of a site for language models, by analogy with robots.txt. Adoption is uneven and it is increasingly generated automatically by platforms rather than authored.
Why it matters
Its value is contested and the evidence that models read it is thin. It matters more as a signal of intent than as a mechanism, and a platform-generated one says nothing about the merchant at all.
In practice
Cheap to add, so add it, but do not treat its presence as an achievement. Structured data on the product page does far more work.
